Family Consultation Services
Family Consultation Services helps members balance and handle their work and family responsibilities. Here are examples of situations in which Family Consultation Services can help:
- Finding a nanny, family care home or childcare center for an infant or toddler.
- Identifying after-school programs and summer camps for children.
- Discovering care, transportation and housing options for older adults.
- Learning about services and programs for disabled children and adults.
Members report the most useful aspects of the program to be:
- Being able to access online work-life resources at their own computers, at their convenience, and/or calling in for one-on-one personalized help from a counselor.
- Talking to a knowledgable counselor who is genuinely interested in helping with their needs.
- Saving time and legwork because the counselor does all the research.
- Receiving detailed and personalized Provider Profiles that help members compare providers and make timely decisions about what care is best for their family.
- Members who contact a counselor enjoy the benefits of confidential, personalized consultation plus a customized referral packet containing detailed Provider Profiles, educational notes and guidebooks sent to them within 48 to 72 hours after the initial phone conversation.
